1974: Michael J. Keate started Tire Services Company, Inc. with one service truck and a simple goal: "To serve the trucking industry, putting customer service as the number one priority." At the same time, a lot of companies had great tires at competitive prices. But no one had outstanding service. Tire Service's service reputation spread fast, and Tire Services Company grew rapidly.

By 1976, Tire Services Company had four service trucks and its first location in Oak Lawn, Illinois. With growth still explosive in the service business, Tire Services was able to acquire its current corporate headquarters in Palos Hills, Illinois, in 1979. This acquisition added a new dimension for Tire Services Company; we were now able to serve our customers tire needs, their automotive and light truck repair needs along with our new nine-bay complete automotive repair facility.

Service expansion boomed throughout the 1980's, bringing us up to twelve service vehicles. Then in the 90’s,Tire Services opened their own 35,000 square-foot commercial retread facility and their truck tire department to its permanent location in Bedford Park, Illinois.

Unfortunately in 2015, we lost our founder Michael J. Keate. Carrying forward with his legacy, his wife, Diane Keate, picked up the pieces and started moving forward with getting her WBE certification with the City of Chicago and her BEP with the State of Illinois, becoming the only Women Owned Retreader in the Chicagoland area and within the State of Illinois.
